Quarter Pounder is CU InSpace's entry in the 2025 Launch Canada Challenge Advanced category. CR22IV is the the fourth and final iteration of the ''McRockets'' series of vehicles, and the first vehicle from InSpace to fly a Student Researched and Developed hybrid engine.

Uniquely, CR22IV is the first rocket in the history of the team to employ a fully Student Researched and Designed propulsion system, using a paraffin fuel and nitrous as the oxidizer. This engine, which was developed over the past 5 years, became the single largest engine that the team has flown to date, with a measured total impulse of 27,170 Newton Seconds. This lead to unique challenges in design, with the largest challenge being the integration of such a large engine to the rest of the airframe. Fortunately, the airframe applied lessons learned in aluminum structures from its predecessor, McTriple, which was launched at Launch Canada in 2024.
The vehicle features single ejection single deploy recovery system utilizing a student designed reefed parachute and custom reefing controls hardware and software, custom fiberglass nosecone, and SRAD roll-wrapped carbon fiber tubes. The relentless design of these components allowed the vehicle to target an apogee of 30,000 ft.
