The 2018's glider could be folded to fit into a 4u-sized payload box. At main chute deployment (1500 ft), the box was ejected from the airframe so the glider could unfold, deploying its wings, and glide away from the rocket. The structure consisted of carbon fibre spars, craft plywood, insulation foam and 3d-printed components.

The glider did not contain any tracking avionics but was successfully recovered with help.
